Seminara olive groves: the road to Ponte Vecchio
from seminars, there are four routes of entry and exit. One of these is the road called the Old Bridge that connects St. Anthony Seminara starting with Gioia Tauro Petrace the height of the bridge. The road is very thin, but has recently been repaired and you go along you can see looking good Paes caaggi country. On the right side of this road start two more branches in other campaigns that they place more beautiful and wild. They meet crumbling and abandoned houses. It can be said that once the countryside was inhabited by people who worked there and did not want to walk in the dark and maybe the distance from the town. Unfortunately lacks a reliable literature in this regard.

How To Remove Chair Castors
Seminara: burning of houses live.
I saw a fire near my home. I filmed a few moments with my digital camera, the Canon IXUS 55, which also has a mode for capturing short videos. The system unfortunately does not allow for the moment the flow of the movie, but you can see the individual photos taken with respect for the tragic event, but also believing that it was right to keep documents and memory. Similar scenes I remember from my childhood. Then there was even the sound of the bells to rush many people as possible, but it was often unnecessary shut down until they reached the brigade. He ran and there was powerless to the fire development. There was also the cry of the owners. I remember from my childhood in the fifties, the lament a woman: "The sweat of my father that went up in flames ...», savings spent on the house. So many houses have been burned and no longer built. The cause of the fire and resumed here on June 28, in the late morning, it seems to be due to the electrical system malfunction, not to rule. Many homes have electrical systems are obsolete and does not take much for a short circuit that is fed by wooden roofs. Luckily there were no casualties and the houses were not inhabited, but I saw some women crying. The houses are burned to Curca Barlaam of course, at the village, just before the new church of St. Mark, which was recently redone the roof and that agreement is still in restoration. At first I feared that the party was meant in from there, but then I saw that the fire was about fifty yards ahead. When I realized the fire was in my house, where I could see getting a big black smoke. The following photos are in chronological order.
1. First sight of the fire.
I was talking with a visitor in the loggia of my house when we noticed the smoke. It came from the nearby church of San Marco, recently restored.
2. The same view but from a higher place.
Ascending from the loggia on the floor of the attic I can see that the fire has developed behind the church of San Marco, whose new roof recently restored is recognizable. You can also see the ugliness and havoc building, compromising any notion of tourism development of the unhappy town of Seminara.
